I studied Cognitive Sciences at Rice University, where coursework in software engineering, programming languages, and human-computer interaction shaped how I think about building software that people actually use.
Before moving into software full-time, I taught 8th-grade math to low-income and at-risk students in Houston, Texas. That experience sharpened my ability to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and lead with patience—skills I use every day when mentoring developers and working with cross-functional teams.
